I create abstract and semi-abstract landscape paintings using collage, acrylic paint, and a variety of mark-making tools.

My focus is the beauty in the natural world around me and in the brief moments of being present in a world of distractions. 

Using layers of color, shape, and line, I explore the rhythm, movement, and depth of the beauty in my surroundings. Starting points include a walk along a local gorge trail, store-bought flowers, texture on a worn wall, or watching the sunset from the same place every day.
